Sleep

I like sleep. Sleep is good. Our two little ones don't think so though. Friday night Hubby and I went out and the kids went to Nana and Papa's. We got home late and lo and behold they were still up. I had a meeting Saturday morning. Our youngest who has ADHD was up at 6:45. Still like clock work. Saturday was a good day not much in the crankypants area. Anyway, 3:30 Sunday morning I hear some noises and the kids are having a popcorn and movie party. (Curses on Camp Rock). So I promptly shoo them back to bed. Now however I have to sleep on the couch and "stand guard". They were upset with me for taking the TV and Computer away. Like it was my fault. So then I worked all night Sunday night and have to go back tonight. I get home, get the kids off to school, rest my head on the pillow, have one little dream and was awaken by Jackhammers!!! Seriously, Jackhammers!!! That was at 9 am and they are still going ARGH!!!

I have come to the conclusion that sleep is good and I want it.

Thanks for reading my rant.

Obedience is better than Sacrifice

This morning as I was sitting down to breakfast with my two lovely children we were talking about obedience. We have been having some difficulties with this subject, hence the reason we are talking about it. I ask my girl if she understands what the phrase "Obedience is better than sacrifice" means. As a nine year old I really did not expect her to but I thought I would ask. She did not know and I was able to share with her that before Jesus came to earth people had to sacrifice animals to God to obtain His forgiveness. When Jesus came and died on the cross He became the ultimate sacrifice. When we disobey (sin) on purpose we nail Jesus back to the cross. That is not God's intention. However, we ALL have sinned and fall short of His glory. (Romans 3:23)That is why Jesus came. We try not to sin, but when we do we can ask for forgiveness. No way can we ever be perfect. But we can be forgiven.

Once we know we are in disobedience we need to turn and run back to God. As a child runs to her daddy, we can run to God. He loves you, Love Him Back.

Beginnings

This is my first post. As such, I would like to give a bit of history. I am married to a great guy. We have been married for almost fifteen years. We have a beautiful nine year old girl, and a handsome seven year old boy.

I don't quite know where this blogging stuff is going to take me, but I am exited to see. Welcome to the journey.
